Creative Practice and Photography course delivered at the Filmhouse that informed the development of the exhibition “New Stories of Homelessness” during the Edinburgh Fringe 2022 at Santosa.

Role:

  • Crisis needed a tutor to lead a series of photography lessons, to guide their members into the co-creation of an art exhibition.

    I designed a Photography course I delivered at Filmhouse, packed with fun and accessible theory, activity based and playful practice and Q&A with photographers from my creative network.

  • From planning to delivery, these Photography workshops were created with empowerment in mind. I really wanted to teach not only skills, but really offer a guide to navigate their learning and creative practice.

  • This course offered an opportunity for me to learn a lot about trauma-informed practice and participatory art and design.
